Masterclass: Sustainable Design Through Simplified LCA

On 10 March 2026 in Brussels, Sirris will host an interactive masterclass in English dedicated to simplified Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). This is a unique opportunity to understand how to reduce the environmental impact of a product while strengthening its market value.

Integrating circularityCircularity describes the quantity of materials managed in a closed loop. from the earliest design phase is no longer a “nice to have” but a real strategic lever for manufacturing companies. In the early phases of development, choices regarding materials, processes or design strongly influence a product’s environmental impact.

A simplified LCA provides an effective way to assess this impact without waiting until the end of the development process. This workshop will help you to:

  • quickly analyse the environmental impact of your products
  • identify the key levers for improvement
  • guide your design decisions towards genuinely sustainable options
  • use LCA as a driver for innovation and circularity

Objectives of the Masterclass

By the end of the session, you will be able to:

  • carry out an environmental estimation using a simplified LCA
  • use these results to guide your choices from the very first design sketches
  • manage missing data and formulate robust assumptions
  • apply the open-source Ecocost method (TU Delft) to your products
  • leverage LCA as a strategic tool for innovation and circular design

A Practice-Oriented Workshop with Immediate Impact

This masterclass offers a concrete, interactive approach that can be applied directly within your company. You will leave with practical tools, a better understanding of the impacts of your products and solid pathways to accelerate their circularity.
