In the food industry, the production process often produces products that are not suitable for human consumption, but still have a good nutritional content. 


For example, broken biscuits, misshapen loaves of bread or rejected sweets. Without Trotec’s intervention, these by-products would go to waste. Trotec picks them up from companies, processes them and turns them into animal feed, thereby keeping them in the food chain. That way, they make an additional circular raw material without competing with primary crops like maize or wheat.
