VLAIO Turbo Sessions: Circularity in Manufacturing

During a turbo session, you will gain new insights from different perspectives and leave with a clear plan of action. Among other things, you will discover how to:

• design products that are easier to repairRepair is making a faulty product work again, allowing its use to be extended without the user parting with it, or with a view to reuseReuse designates all operations by which substances, materials or products that are not waste are used again in an identical way to their originally intended purpose. (donation, second-hand sale).

• reduce your reliance on volatile raw material prices and uncertain supply chains
• lower costs while creating greater value through maintenance, repair and reuse

This series addresses one central question: “How can products and production processes be made circular?” Topics include:

• product design
• lifetime extension and reuse
• closing material loops in production
• developing circular business models
• redesigning your value chain
