Why an IPCEI on Circular Materials?
IPCEIs (Important Projects of Common European Interest) allow EU Member States to support large-scale industrial projects beyond the usual state aid limits. The “Circular Advanced Materials” call aims to:
- integrate circularityCircularity describes the quantity of materials managed in a closed loop. at every stage of the value chain
- promote eco-design, recyclabilityRecyclability covers the area of product design up to repurposing as a secondary material., and the use of secondary raw materials
- strengthen Europe’s technological and industrial sovereignty while reducing the environmental impact of materials
